Vancouver Area Smart Trek

Agency Partners

The VAST Program is a partnership of transportation agencies working together to plan, develop and implement an intelligent transportation system for the Clark County region to improve the operation, safety, and efficiency of the transportation system. This effort is being coordinated with activities in the Portland metropolitan area to ensure that ITS strategies throughout the bi-state region are integrated and complementary.

The Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council, the City of Vancouver, the Washington State Department of Transportation, C-TRAN, Clark County, the City of Camas, and The Oregon Department Of Transportation have joined and initiated a Steering Committee to facilitate the coordination, planning, funding, and deployment of ITS projects. This committee will promote the integration of the projects, the communications system, and the operation of ITS system elements.
